| violence | During the opening number young Derek and Odette are fighting, and he briefly strangles Odette. This is played for laughs though. Rothbart attacks King William's captain (off-screen), Derek later finds him injured. Odette tells Rothbart she would rather die than marry him, and she even tells him he'll have to kill her. Derek almost shoots Odette with his arrow while she is a swan. |
| frightening | Odette dies before the final battle, but she later comes back to life after Derek kills Rothbart. This scene isn't necessarily frightening but it might make some children sad. |
