The Seminarian is a story about Ryan, a closeted gay student in his final semester of seminary studies. Despite his school's hostile stance towards homosexuality, Ryan has two gay classmates - Gerald and Anthony - in whom he secretly confides. He is also close to his religiously devout mother who, as things stand, is unaware of his sexual orientation. Ryan needs to complete a solid theological thesis in order to continue doctoral work at the university of his dreams. As he works on his thesis 'The Divine Gift of Love,' Ryan begins a relationship with Bradley - a guy he has met on the Internet who seems perpetually unable to commit himself. Ryan confides in Gerald and Anthony, only to learn about their romantic struggles as well. Consequently, Ryan questions his views on God's gift of love.

nudity Regarding nudity, there are three scenes where a male's penis is visible. One occurs after the lead character drops a towel to dress. The penis is partially obscured and the lighting is dark so little detail is seen. Another occurs when the lead character views his friend nude on the computer screen. The image is not sharp but the penis is more clearly seen in this case. The third occasion involves a back-lit scene where the male stands sideways to the camera so the penis appears very dark against the light background. But in this scene, the penis extends out from the body somewhat and longer than a normal flaccid penis. There are several occasions of male-male kissing and one occasion where two naked males lie face to face and kiss. The top male thrusts moderately but the view is from the waist up. There is a scene where the lead character masturbates. The view is waste-up from the rear but the action is quite realistic.
