The first segment features an animated mummy stalking selected student victims; the second tale tells the story of a "cat from hell" who cannot be killed and leaves a trail of victims behind it; the third story is about a man who witnesses a bizarre killing and promises never to tell what he saw and the "in-between" bit is the story of a woman preparing to cook her newspaper boy for supper.

Movie Parental Guide

nudity This film is technically the third "Creepshow" film, and has less sensual content than the Creepshow 2 (1987), but more than Creepshow (1982). Segment 1: Lot 249 2/10 A woman's shirt is briefly ripped open. Segment 2: The Cat from Hell 0/10 None. Segment 3: Lover's Vow 5/10 A couple has sex and one of the woman's breasts can be partially seen in a darkly lit close-up for 7 seconds. Kisses and embraces in a few other scenes. "Wrapper"(The outside story the Tales take place in) 0/10 None.
violence This film is the most violent Creepshow movie, with much more violence on-screen than in the other films. Segment 1: Lot 249 7/10 A person's brains are scraped out of his head. The first few seconds of the implement going up his nose with some blood dripping are shown, but the rest happens offscreen Later, his brains are seen sitting around and is body is seen too with blood all over. A person's back is sliced open and flowers are stuffed into the wound (Bloody but not extremely graphic) The mutilated corpse is seen a few moments later. A mummy is hit and cut with power tools and other objects in an attempt to kill it. Arms and legs are detached. No blood. The mummy eventually dies Segment 2: The Cat from Hell 8/10 A person dies by falling down stairs. A person is smothered to death. Both are bloodless. A person dies in a car crash; nothing graphic. A man is repeatedly scratched by a cat; he winds up pretty bloody. Because reading it would spoil the film for you, I'll just tell you- the scene below contains ripped skin and blood, plus disturbing images. A cat forcibly enters its way into a person's mouth, some ripping flesh as it enters; later it is seen exiting the person's mouth from their stomach, spitting out copious blood and gore. gruesome and disturbing scene, but not as graphic as it sounds. A man has a heart attack. Can be intense, but no blood. Segment 3: Lover's Vow 7/10 A monster severs a man's hand and then decapitates him; graphic and gruesome. This next scene will spoil the third segment if read, so without details lets just say there's loose flesh and it is somewhat gruesome. A woman turns into a monster; she rips her hair off, her body morphs, lots of her flesh falls off and other body parts burst out of her; very bloody and gruesome. It is then shown that her children, conceived with a human man, have both turned into monsters. "Wrapper" 5/10 A woman (Who's a witch) plans to eat a young boy. She threatens him and tells him how she plans to eat him. This my scare some people. A woman falls onto a bunch of sharp implements; she runs around with them sticking in her back before a young boy pushes her backwards; she lands on a tray and is forced into an oven.
profanity This film is has the most language of the Creepshow films. Segment 1: Lot 129 8/10 F**k and it's variations, plus a few others. Segment 2: The Cat from Hell 8/10 Lots of F**k, S**t, and some other said a lot. Segment 3: Lover's Vow 5/10 Some language, not nearly as much as in the first two segments. "Wrapper" 3/10 Maybe some mild language, Damn, hell.
alcohol Less drinking than the other films. Segment 1: Lot 129 4/10 Two other characters get completely drunk. Segment 2: The Cat from Hell 2/10 Brief drinking. Segment 3: Lover's Vow 1/10 Brief drinking. I think. "Wrapper" 0/10 None.
frightening Many of the moments in Violence and Gore are disturbing. Other sad moments and scary images are seen throughout. Segment 1: Lot 129 4/10 A jump scare and some gory scenes. Segment 2: The Cat from Hell 6/10 Disturbing images and scares plus attempts to kill a cat. Segment 3: Lover's Vow 6/10 The ruthless killing of the nasty monster is chilling. Wrapper 3/10 Not very scary, but the theme is a witch who is going to eat a small child. Total Content Advisory: Seg. 1: 24/50- A few graphic scenes and language. 12+ Seg. 2: 24/10- The goriest Tale. Very graphic, with language. 14+ Seg. 3: 22/50- Some nudity and a violent scene. Mature but still the mildest one. 13+ The Wrapper is in live action, unlike in the other two, but is still cartoony and is slightly comical. The last part is violent though.
