Morgan Spurlock subjects himself to a diet based only on McDonald's fast food three times a day for thirty days without exercising to try to prove why so many Americans are fat or obese. He submits himself to a complete check-up by three doctors, comparing his weight along the way, resulting in a scary conclusion.

nudity During the first round of physicals, the doctor notes they have to do a rectal exam. Immediately after, the film shows Morgan getting the rectal exam, although a black bar is superimposed over his bare butt. Even with (small) black bar superimposed, however, there is still nudity from the waist down & it is clear the footage is of the doctor inserting his finger into Morgan's behind. During Morgan's "Last Supper" at his apartment there is artwork on the wall of a bare chested woman. Morgan's girlfriend briefly discusses the effects of their sex life because of the diet, including his inability to maintain an erection due to his fast food eating. She talks about how they have to change sexual positions in relation to that. What to watch for to know this scene is coming: she is sitting alone talking to the camera with her glasses on, talking about how he is so tired at the end of the day. In a scene, he draws a circle around the penis on the picture with a mention about his sex life.
violence There are a few scenes depicting graphic stomach-reduction surgery. An injection is present. We see Morgan getting several blood tests. An animated clip is shown with the cartoon chicken getting chopped up in the machine and blood is shown.
profanity One comic use of "f--k" in an interview. 3 or 4 uses of the word "shit", 2 uses of "bastard" (both times the word is also spelled out on-screen), a couple of milder swears (hell) and the word "ni--er" is heard briefly in a song lyric. People in the movie can also be heard using the word "Crap" and "Penis" in the interview.
alcohol Some mild references such as when Morgan is asked at the initial physical exams about alcohol and drug usage (he replies in a way that it's "not anymore"). The addiction to junk food is compared with heroin addiction in conversation, though nothing particularly explicit is said. A song contains some drug references in its lyrics.
frightening There is a disturbing medical procedure with classical music playing in the background. Morgan vomits and the camera zooms in on it. The clown could be very frightening in the DVD menu of the film.
