Movie Parental Guide

nudity A woman is shown walking with a bra on and a night gown (but it's open to show the bra.) Plenty of flirting and sexual innuendo (most of it dealing with a vampire's power to seduce). Charley and Amy definitely think about having sex. They kiss, and, in one scene, Amy unsuccessfully attempts to seduce him. At the end of the story, they prepare for their first sexual experience.
violence Though the movie's tone is slightly comic, there's still plenty of strong, vampire-related violence, including lots of blood, dead bodies, biting of necks, licking of blood, stabbing with stakes, shooting with crossbows and guns, characters being hit with cars, fighting, and explosions. Vampires burst into flame and ashes when they're killed. People are bitten by vampires and blood is generally shown (usually as a splash). A teenage boy is bitten by a vampire in a pool and blood is seen in the water. A woman who has been bitten by a vampire suddenly explodes in blood and disintegrates when she goes outside into the sunlight. Two teenage boys in a car are bitten by a vampire and blood sprays on a boy's face and the car window. A vampire is hit in the neck with a large axe and a very large, gory wound is shown. A vampire is shot several times resulting in blood spurts. A vampire's arm is trapped in a shutting door, and is sliced off. He is seen hobbling around without his arm for several minutes. A vampire is stabbed in the back with a wooden stake. It thrashes around convulsing and violently in pain, and is then hit by a car. A vampires broken arm snaps itself back into place and heals
profanity Strong, frequent language including 20-30 uses of "f--k", and around 15 uses of sh*t Other words include "p---y," "bitch," "ass," "balls," "d--k," "jerk-off," "crap," "douchebag," "hell," "damn," "goddamn," "oh my God," and "Jesus Christ" (as an exclamation).
alcohol A man drinks liquor (Midori) frequently and we see him holding and drinking bottles and glasses filled with liquor and tells a teen boy that he "gets drunk". Two teens briefly smoke a marijuana joint in a car and are approached by a man who knocks on the window, prompting one of the teens to say, "Ditch the weed, ditch the weed..." A man jokes that when he is drunk he will "try anything," a man drinks a beer and we see empty beer bottles and wine glasses on a table. A man offers a teen boy a drink of liquor (Midori) (the teen boy turns it down), a man asks a teen boy for a beer and the teen boy gives him bottles of beer, a man offers to purchase beer for a teen boy and the boy's mother, we see people in a club/bar holding drinks in their hands.
frightening Despite the attempt at a lighter tone, it has plenty of vampire violence, with lots of blood, biting, stabbing, shooting, burning, and fighting. suggested rating R for strong bloody horror violence and gore, language and sexual content,
