Movie Parental Guide

nudity 2/10 Boyfriend and girlfriend are shown kissing (not a long, dramatic kiss...just a peck on the cheek). There are two boyfriend-girlfriend relationships.
violence 3/10 There is very little blood and gore in this movie. The film gets its scares from other means (see frightening/intense scenes). A possessed teenage girl hangs herself with Christmas lights from her bedroom. She is shown hanging with the noose around her neck and a snap is heard as she dies. A teenage male gets shoved by a ghost from behind into a mirror, bashing his hand on the glass. Blood is visible on his hand. The ghost of a girl is seen multiple times. The ghost has her lips crudely stitched shut (more shocking than graphic). A possessed teenage girl is levitated into the air and then dropped, and smashes her head on the side of her sink with a loud sound effect to accompany her instant death. She is shown lifeless on the ground, with a bloody wound on her forehead as blood pools around her head. Most graphic scene in the movie, however still not bad (it sounds worse than it is). A teenage male is killed as a ghost in the form of his girlfriend quickly morphs to it's original form and after letting out a loud scream causes the male's ears to bleed, small lines of barely visible blood and then his face to suddenly, grotesquely morph into a mouth stitched shut, blue discolored state. A teenage male is flung into a pool, wrapped in the pool covering and subsequently drowned in merciless, brutal fashion killing him via drowning. A long decayed dead body is scene multiple times. A dead body has to be burned. A man is shown dripping water, and when he turns around, his mouth is stitched together. He is also pale, with veins popping out.(sounds really gross, but it is not) Many characters are possessed, and their eyes turn a foggy white and their lips appear sewn shut. Their veins begin to bulge from their face/neck and then they commit suicide.
profanity 2/10 One use of sh*t. A few instances of other minor cursing such as damn or hell.
alcohol 1/10 A character is possibly seen smoking a cigarette or drinking alcohol. I can't remember, but if it is there it is very brief and non-graphic.
frightening 4/10 This movie gets most of its scares from jump scares. There is nothing too scary. A few of the most shocking scenes include: A possessed girl is hanged (see violence & gore). A man is seen standing still, facing a wall. When he turns around, his lips are crudely stiched together and his eyes are closed (most shocking scene in the movie). Many instances of ghosts being seen, sometimes scarier than others. A ghost is shown crawling through a vent in a fast, inhuman way (brief but shocking). A girl is walking to her car, sees a message written on the window, and then a ghostly hand hits the window (very shocking). A possessed girl gets her head bashed into the side of a sink (see violence & gore). Many other intense scenes or jump scares, but nothing too bad. A mature 11 year old could probably watch this movie. Overall Score: 11/50
