Movie Parental Guide

nudity 0/10 0:31:30+ In a catacomb chamber there is a group of women performing some sort of ritual. These women are wearing minimal clothing and we see flashes of several women in the group's breasts (covered in some sort of tribal paint), albeit very briefly. The camera is moving quickly over the group so it is sort of difficult to actually see the women. PG/PG-13 I would like to correct the review above. Some women have tribal clothing but some are seen with bare breasts. Also earlier in the movie, they go to a dance club and early on a couple of women are dancing in revealing clothes.
violence 6/10 . A woman runs past the dead body of a male friend on the floor and scrapes bits of a stone onto an injured man's throat, which heals him instantly (little to some blood is shown). Several men pull down a gate from a treasure room, resulting in a cave-in and five very terrified characters. They pull out a women from under the debris (blood is shown on her clothes). This scene is about 20 seconds. A team opens a hole in abandoned railroad tracks in a tunnel and is hit on the head by some figure running toward them from deep within the tunnel; they struggle, scream and end up escaping. A woman approaches a man and has her head smashed into the ground and dies. There are scenes of characters having to duck under water and swim through a tunnel to climb out and escape into the only way forward through the catacombs. Later the water is replaced by blood, as you can imagine the characters end up covered with it. A man is attacked by one of the creepy singing woman from earlier and falls to his death. A man is confronted with a past atrocity and tries to run away and is pulled into a burning car which disintegrates into thin air. His legs are shown sticking out of the ground wiggling, he eventually dies. A man has his throat gashed and is bleeding out and dies. He eventually comes back to life and survives. A woman has her arm badly injured during a collapsing ceiling. She has it healed by the Philosopher's Stone.
profanity 4/10 About 16 F-words and its derivatives PG-13/R 7 scatological terms (I.e. S**t) PG/PG-13 1 anatomical term (I.e A*s) PG 9 mild obscenities (I.e. Hell) PG 1 religious profanity (I.e. Go******t) PG 14 religious exclamations (e.g. Oh My G**, My G**, !@#$%^&* and G**, f***ing C**** [though not literally, some will take offense at the combination].) PG
alcohol 1/10 A woman drinks a bottle of beer and a man drinks a short glass of whiskey in a nightclub scene. PG Mixed cocktails and short glasses of liquor are seen on tables around a nightclub. PG
frightening 6/10 The film contains some violence, blood and language. This may not the best choice of film if you have severe claustrophobia. There is at least one extended scene of a man who tries to make in through a tunnel, gets stuck, and completely panics. Characters have to crouch and duck down and squeeze through dark, dank scary tunnels most of the time once they reach the catacombs. Some intense "jump scare" moments, when figures loom out of the dark or suddenly come charging at of characters, screaming. Overall: 17/50 MPAA Rating: Rated R for bloody violence/terror, and language throughout Suggested MPAA Rating: Rated PG-13 for violence, and strong language 12+
