Maya is a CIA operative whose first experience is in the interrogation of prisoners following the Al Qaeda attacks against the U.S. on the 11th September 2001. She is a reluctant participant in extreme duress applied to the detainees, but believes that the truth may only be obtained through such tactics. For several years, she is single-minded in her pursuit of leads to uncover the whereabouts of Al Qaeda's leader, Osama Bin Laden. Finally, in 2011, it appears that her work will pay off, and a U.S. Navy SEAL team is sent to kill or capture Bin Laden. But only Maya is confident Bin Laden is where she says he is.

frightening The first 40 minutes of the film are intense, as it depicts the CIA interrogating and torturing a prisoner. A few instances of sudden violence, such as sudden explosions or shootings. The last 45 minutes, the raid on bin Laden's compound, are intense due to the levels of suspense but not extremely violent. However, it is complicated by one of the helicopters malfunctioning and crashing in the compound. This leads to the surrounding neighborhood being roused and the soldiers have to threaten the gathering crowd to make them keep their distance. In addition, the Pakistani military is alerted and the commandos have only a few minutes to complete their mission and leave before Pakistani soldiers arrive. Before departing, a few soldiers are left behind to destroy the downed helicopter of secret design and it is not known if they managed to reach friendly territory.
