Movie Parental Guide

nudity 2/10 (0:35:09) A wife asks a husband if he's been with anyone, since their marital problems started. (1:05:00) A store owner asks a man if he is masturbating to a Japanese comic at the back of the store. (1:20:03) A flashback shows a drunk man and a woman passed out on a bed.
violence 5/10 A man chokes another man to death in a long sequence. There is no blood or gore. A woman is hit in the head with a beer bottle. A man breaks into a house and attacks the owner. The owner's dead body is later seen with a bloody head wound. A man watches another man being operated on. We hear someone describe the patients worsening condition and see a patch of blood quickly spreading. We later hear that the man died. A man with brittle bone disease falls down a flight of stairs. We hear cracking sounds and his cries of pain. We later learn he broke 14 bones. Disturbing. A man finds two children with their hands bound above their heads. It is implied that they have been held hostage. A man finds a woman's dead body with her hands bound above her head. Her wrists are mildly bloody from struggling. The aftermath of a car accident is shown. The car is on fire and a man pulls an injured woman out of the wreck. A young boy has scratches on his cheek after a (off screen) fight.
profanity 2/10 Shit is used once. Ass, damn and hell are used a few times. Whore is used once in a background song. JC is used right at beginning.
alcohol 2/10 A man says that the stadium was having problems with people buying drugs and then searches a man (implying he thought he was a drug dealer). But he is innocent. One reference to alcohol; "have a couple of drinks". Two people are seen drunk for a few seconds.
frightening 4/10 One scene with dead bodies and hostages seen and a realistic kill. A man nearly drowns in an intense scene. The whole film has a sense of psychological horror and could be found unsettling. A young boy points a gun at his father and threatens to shoot him as he thinks his dad can't die. The twist ending may prove to be disturbing/intense to some viewers. Total - 16/50 MPAA/USA - Rated PG-13 for mature thematic elements including some disturbing violent content, and for a crude sexual reference. BBFC/UK - Rated 12A (moderate violence, horror, one moderate sex reference).
