nudity No nudity. A brief sex scene. A young man removes one of the straps on a young girl's dress. (Suggestive) A man kisses his wife. Says she gets him "so excited". Rubs her leg. He moves between her legs and kisses her. It's mostly playful and nothing happens, but it is an intimate moment between a man and wife. A mother talks with her daughter about a man she's taking private lessons from. She asks if her daughter has condoms. The mother mentions the first time her husband "jumped" on her and it being the moment she lost her virginity. The daughter talks about her first time and that it will be with someone she loves. A young man mentions people eating "pornographic food." Says people will line up like "it's a whorehouse". A teenage girl spends a good portion of the film getting close to her adult teacher. She finally seduces him in the classroom and they proceed to have sex against the door. While there is no nudity it is entirely shown. A man refers to a movie being another man's "jerk-off" movie. A man tells a woman before he kills her he has to "dirty" her first (As punishment due to her husband betraying the mafia. He begins to remove his pants intent on raping her. He is stopped.
violence The whole film is about a family of American East coast mobsters. There are scenes involving realistic (not cinematically graphic or exaggerated but) brutal violence that are not considered to be comical. A man dies by explosion. We see his body fly back and land on the ground. We can see that his skin is burnt and charred. A man shoots a woman and her two teenage children (point-blank). It is not overly graphic, but it is shown. A man uses a small axe to cut of a dead man's finger. Not shown. A man pulls a dead body covered in plastic out of his trunk. We see the arm sprinkled with blood fall out of the plastic. A very quick flash of the dead man's face. A group of teenage boys beat another teen boy in the bathroom by kicking. The young boy's face is bruised and bloody. A woman sets off a small homemade explosive inside a small store. No victims involved. A teen girl beats a teen boy with a tennis racket until it breaks. We see a little blood on his face. A man has a dream where all his guests draw their guns on him. A girl punches another girl unconscious in a bathroom. It is only implied that a man beats another man with a bat to the point the victim is hospitalized and put in a body cast. A young boy strikes another with some kind of stick and proceeds to punch him repeatedly while a group of boys attack another group of boys. A quick flashback of a dead man being rolled into a grave. It is implied that a man kills a family. All that is shown is the man leaving the apartment and a victim's blurred body is seen strewn in the background as the killer closes the door. A montage of violence: A man shoots two men in a car. A man punches a man in a chair. The victim's face is swollen and bloody. A man is lowered head first into a barrel of some kind of steaming chemical. A man with a stocking on his head holds up a group of men while his partner robs them. A man in a chair has clearly been beaten. Bloody face and arm. A man beats another man with a bat until it breaks. We only see the victim's legs and arms. Hear the victim scream. The man grabs a hammer after the bat breaks. Scene cuts as he brings the hammer down. A woman threatens to break another woman's arms. A man imagines slamming a man's face onto a grill and then setting him on fire. He next imagines jamming a blazing piece of coal down a man's mouth. A man imagines slamming a man's hand in a drawer. A man lies in the street, mangled and bloody. It is implied he was drug by a rope attached to a car. Flash of a man's previous fantasy slamming a man's face onto a grill. A girl strikes a girl on the top of her head. A man shoots three police officers. A man shoots a fireman, but it is not shown. Only the sound of a gunshot as two men slash tires with a knife. A man fires a rocket launcher into a house. A man shoots two curious bystanders. A girl strikes a man with a metal object. A dog attacks a man. Two men are shot multiple times through a door. A man tells a woman before he kills her he has to "dirty" her first. Implying rape. A teen boy and girl engage a group of men in a gunfight. A teen boy shoots a man in the chest with a rifle. A man strangles a man with a belt. A woman stabs a man in the chest. A man hits another man with his car. We see the body is mangled on the ground. A collection of shots showing dead men.
profanity The F-word is used many times.
alcohol A young boy steals medicine from the school nurse's office and sells them to his fellow classmates. Some social drinking. Some casual smoking.
frightening The violence in this film is at times sudden and somewhat surprising. While not graphic, the violence is brutal and relentless. Almost all the violence ends when the one being attacked is left unconscious, severely injured, or dead. A girl stands on a ledge with the intent to commit suicide but she changes her mind. Might be upsetting to some. A man tells a woman before he kills her he has to "dirty" her first. He begins to slowly unbuckle his belt and unbutton his pants intent on raping her. The moment until he is stopped may be intense for some.
