Movie Parental Guide

nudity Suggested MPAA Rating: rated PG-13 for scenes of bloody violence, disturbing images and language. 1/10 In one scene, two men talk about spending money for a prostitute. Very brief.
violence 7/10 Very violent for PG film. Men are shot against a wall with machine gun. Very bloody results of a car accident are seen. A man shoots another man (we only see shooter aiming and hear silenced gun shot). The bloody aftermath of a car accident is shown. A bomb is detonated in one scene, killing many people, in an act of terrorism. A charred corpse is briefly shown. Quite gruesome. Another corpse has been wrapped in a plastic bag, with blood all over it. A closeup of a man being shot in the eye is shown with bloody results. A main character is shot and dies. A man is stuck on the side of the neck with the blade of a shovel, causing large amount of blood to pour out. He falls off screen and is then repeatedly hit with the shovel.
profanity 2/10 One use of the word "fuck." However, this is extremely brief, mumbled, and said under the character's breath, though it's loud enough to hear and recognize. Three uses of the word "bastard."
alcohol 1/10 Two scenes in a bar with characters drinking.
frightening 7/10 This film, is incredibly intense throughout, given the plot. In one scene, two main characters are killed when the explosives in their truck ignite. This comes out of nowhere, is very unexpected, and will more than likely take most viewers by surprise. The terrorist act in the beginning is unexpected and is a "jump" scene. Film also has a somewhat bleak tone.
