| nudity | No sex scenes. We learn that one of the characters had sex with an older woman while he was still a young teenager. This is referred to in cruder terms a couple times. A woman suggests to her husband that they make love. In another instance, a wife pulls her husband into another room and he begins to remove his pants (it's nothing is shown, but it's obviously the prelude to them having sex). A man who runs a local theater says what people want to see now are sex movies with "butts" and "tits". |
| violence | A few fist fights that leave men with bruises. An inebriated man shoves a woman, knocking her down. In a logging accident, a man's arm gets badly injured and we see some blood. A man threatens to kill himself and later he commits suicide by hanging. We see him fall from a distance, but nothing else. |

| alcohol | Characters drink beer casually. A man gets drunk. Another man refers to his "boozy mother". |
| frightening | The scene where a man gets injured in the logging accident may be intense for younger viewers. As he's getting rushed to the hospital he frequently moans that his arm is falling off. There is another scene where a man gets trapped in the water under a massive fallen log. As he's trapped, the water continues to rise closer and closer to his head, threatening to drown him while his friend frantically attempts to rescue him. This scene is lengthy and, though not gory, can be intense to some viewers. |
