Ten vignettes in New York City: a pickpocket meets his match; a young Hasidic woman, on the eve of her marriage, reveals herself to an Indian businessman; a writer tries a pick-up line; an artist seeks a model; a composer needs to read; two women connect; a man takes a child to Central Park; lovers meet; a couple takes a walk on their anniversary; a kid goes to the prom with a girl in a wheelchair; a retired singer contemplates suicide. There are eight million stories in the naked city: these have been ten of them.

Movie Parental Guide

nudity Contains a prolonged conversation in which a man flirts with a woman (who later reveals herself to be a prostitute), and makes sexually explicit remarks about knowing where a woman's "G-spot" is, as well as boasting about how he can satisfy her, making mention of the "clitoris" and "vaginal walls". One segment depicts intermittent vignettes of a sexual encounter in a low light setting. Some of these shots contain nudity (i.e. exposed buttocks and breasts), and the couple can be seen thrusting. The couple later share a prolonged passionate kiss in the back seat of a car. A young woman asks a man to "take off [her] panties" and requests that he removes his pants. They have a brief (mostly dressed) sexual encounter in a public place. A married woman asks a strange man if he has "ever had sex with a total stranger," and proceeds to continue teasing and flirting with him.
violence A character falls from a balcony and dies. We briefly see a birds-eye view of the character as blood runs from under their head. A character accidentally cuts their finger and sucks the blood to prevent it from making a mess.
profanity Contains only occasional use of coarse language (including "fuck" and its variants), as well as some use of milder terms, such as "shit".
alcohol Contains casual consumption of alcohol and tobacco throughout the film, and while adverse affects of the use of such substances are not depicted in any detail, the film as a whole is not necessarily promoting substance misuse.
frightening None of concern.
