Over the summer of 1976, thirty-six bombs detonate in the heart of Cleveland while a turf war raged between Irish mobster Danny Greene and the Italian mafia. Based on a true story, kill the Irishman chronicles Greene's heroic rise from a tough Cleveland neighborhood to become an enforcer in the local mob.

nudity A woman enters the room in a robe, she takes it off revealing her breasts and the scene ends, sex is implied A short scene of a car bouncing because a man and women are having sex, the man is bare chested.
violence This is a gangster movie, so violence is a main theme; lots of bloody fistfights, shoot-em-up, and bombings throughout. A few people get stabbed, in one scene a man tied up in a car is stabbed repetitively while blood gushes out A character beats a man repetitively while blood sprays all over him A man is shot in the back of the head, blood splatter is seen on a car window resulting from it. You the man has a hole in his head from being shot. In another scene you see a man shoot a shotgun to a man's chest just a few feet away, the man flies backwards. In one of those scenes the victim is lying there while another man holds him, he is bleeding and suffering as he dies. In another scene you clearly see the blast impacting a man standing next to the car, killing him. A lot of characters are seen being punched and beaten severely. There are many more violent scenes, often resulting in some very gruesome results.
