The main theme of the movie is that mutant creatures are haunting an old house and feed off of childrens teeth and it is implied via a painting that they have killed the homeowners son and possibly other children who have lived in the house.
The creatures are shown numerous times to have human like abilities and brains by both crawling and running and also being able to use small objects like knives and razors to hurt humans
A man attacks a woman to remove her teeth, and he grimaces to expose his bloody gums, having previously removed his own teeth. He forces a chisel into her mouth and brings down a hammer to remove her teeth, which is not shown. The man then offers the bloody teeth to the creatures who violently attack him instead. |
