In A BIGGER SPLASH, the lives of a prominent couple, a popular hero (Tilda Swinton) and a producer (Matthias Schoenaerts), traveling and recuperating on the pure sun-soaked and remote Italian island of Pantelleria, are upset by the unforeseen visit of an old companion (Ralph Fiennes) and his little girl (Dakota Johnson) - making a tornado of envy, enthusiasm and, at last, threat for everybody included.
| nudity | Full frontal male nudity with moderate detail is depicted in the film; justified by context and not excessive, and no close-ups of genitalia is seen. The film contains various depictions of female upper-body nudity, as well as some male full-frontal nudity. Some of the strongest scenes include one where a bare-breasted woman is seen lying near a man by the pool; a scene where a naked woman is sunning herself in front of a man while lying on a rock; brief glimpses of a naked man's genitals as he throws off his towel; a brief glimpse of a man's genitals as he climbs into bed with a woman, etc. There is also a prolonged scene of a naked man caught in a struggle with another man as they fight each other in the pool, with glimpses of his genitals throughout. In addition, there are some sexual scenes in the film, such as a scene where a couple is seen engaging in sex at a swimming pool where female upper body nudity is seen; a brief scene of a man with his head at a woman's crotch, heavily implying that he is performing oral sex on her, etc. The sexual activity portrayed here is justified by context, infrequent and without strong details. In another scene, a man is seen holding up a woman's legs as he attempts to engage in sex with her, but is rejected by the latter. |

| frightening | The film is a drama about a rock star on a vacation with her boyfriend getting interrupted by the arrival of her old manager and his daughter. Sexual tension is shown throughout the film, when the manager is enticed to rekindle a sexual relationship with the rock star; the relationship between the star and her partner is further tested when he engages in sexual relations with the manager's daughter [see Sex & Nudity], etc. There are also mild implications that the manager and his daughter have had sexual experiences in the past.
