Movie Parental Guide

nudity 2/10 Some of Belle's dresses reveal a hint of cleavage. 3 women have wear dresses that show off their large breasts, and they act flirtatiously around Gaston. Gaston rips his shirt open to reveal his hairy chest. Lumiere flirts openly with a feather duster character. Later when the characters become human she is shown to have a very buxom figure and wears a tight dress
violence 4/10 A man shoots a bird that falls to the ground, presumably dead. Cogsworth is burned by Lumiere twice. manhandled by Maurice and run over with a tea cart. In each case, he doesn't suffer any long-term damage. A character has several wounds after fighting with a pack of wolves. Some blood is briefly shown on his arm. Several moments of violence in a group battle scene between the villagers and castle objects. Mrs. Potts and the cups pour hot water on a villager. Le Fou threatens Lumiere with a torch, before Cogsworth stabs him in the rear. A feather duster has many feathers plucked out, until Lumiere burns the villager and saves her. Much of this scene is intended as comical. Two characters engage in a long fight to the death A brief scene has a character getting stabbed, with a small amount of blood coming from the wound. A character falls to his death. We don't see his body hit the ground.
profanity 0/10 None.
alcohol 2/10 There are some brief references to beer in the bar and characters are seen with full beer mugs. During the "Gaston" song in the bar, the villagers sing about how no one "takes shots" like Gaston. Gaston fires three bullets from his gun into a barrel of an alcoholic beverage, it spills out, and some men fill their cups with it. Some kids could easily emulate the drinking beer scene, imo should've been rated pg.
frightening 4/10 Some young children might be frightened by The Beast in his early scenes. The cursed castle is decorated with statues of horned demons, snakes and the like to give the castle a gothic setting. Characters surrounded/attacked by wolves in two different scenes. There is an extended fight to the death between The Beast and Gaston. Compared to the battle sequence before it, which is largely comical, it is very intense and much more serious The beast is close to death after fighting Gaston and Belle is very emotional but he comes back to life as a human. BBFC - (U): mild violence, threat.
